The Plastiscines // French girly RockPop alternative

The Plastiscines is a french girl Pop/Rock Band which is a part of the so called "new french rock szene" which was founded in 2006. They have already made two albums: LP1 (2007) and About Love (2009-Nylon Records).
Bands of which they seem to be inspired are The Libertines, The White Stripes and The Strokes.

Anaïs Vandevyvere - drums

In 2007 they already prooved their talent but since 2009 it seems that their career goes on fire. In Los Angeles they recorded their second album with producer Butch Walker and in Seacon 3 of Gissip Girl they made an appearance in episode 9.

Dominic Jones Jewellery

Dominic Jones ist, seit seiner ersten Schmuckkollektion (Frühling '09), einer der umworbensten Schmuckdesigner überhaupt; von Anna Wintour ( Us-Vogue), über Sienna Miller bis hin zu Vivienne Westwood, alle bewundern seine Arbeit. Selbst den heiss begehrten "British Fashion Council New Generation award" konnte er schon ganze zweimal hintereinander sein Eigen nennen.
Der seit 2003 in London wohnhaftige Jones konnte mit Hilfe von Freundin, und heute Buisiness-Partnerin, Alice Dellal 2008 sein Unternehmen "Dominic Jones Jewellery" gründen.
Seine Arbeit glänzt durch verschiedene Mischungen aus Ethno, Gothik und Punk; wobei auch Tierelemente einem sofort ins Auge stechen.

Bei einem solchen Anblick vergeht mir eher die Lust auf Lippenstift. Anscheinend macht ein ungewöhnlicher Trend die Runde, der da lautet: "Egal wie dunkel oder schrill die Lippen auch sind, hauptsache Auffallen!"
Dabei haben Chanel und MÄC doch so schön vorgemacht, wie der Gothik-Look, also dunkelrot über violett bis schwarz, stilvoll aussieht!
